Tod-Hackett Group Ltd., owned by Tim Hackett, is an award-winning Victoria development company with over 40-years of quality building experience. Current Victoria projects include Marigold Lands, an $140-million mixed-use residential development. Tim Hackett is also the owner and builder of Tofino’s Long Beach Lodge Resort and, more recently, along with his brother Tony, built Tofino’s SEA OTTER PLACE townhouse development which quickly sold out.

Long Beach Lodge Resort

Opened in April of 2002, Long Beach Lodge Resort began as the dream of Tim's.

Tim fell in love with the west coast when he first visited in the 1960’s, camping on the beach with friends. He believes that Cox Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with its pounding surf, expansive sand and glorious sunsets that make for an unforgettable experience. Drawing on years of high-quality development and design, Tim created Long Beach Lodge Resort, one of the jewels of Vancouver Island.

Tim's meticulous attention to detail paid off: Long Beach Lodge Resort was chosen by the Canadian Home Builders Association as the 2002 Project of the Year for its design, function and use of space and compatibility with its environment. Further more, it was the feature spread in the November 2003 issue of the auspicious Architectural Digest, which heralded the resort as a refuge that celebrates the best of Canada’s West.

The project was a natural for Hackett, as two of his passions are the ocean and cedar shingled buildings. Working with his brother, Tony, he oversaw every aspect and detail of the design and construction of the Resort.
